Once Loved Items Become a Great Find
Just located upstairs from the food bank is our thrift store. The Lacombe Community Food Bank thrift store carries a wide assortment of new and gently used items. We have clothing for men, women and children, toys, decorations, furniture and more. The thrift store is a great alternative to just throwing out items that you no longer need. Some of the funds generated from the thrift store go to the food bank. As well, clothing items that are donated can also be passed onto those in need. So when you shop at our thrift store you are not only getting a great deal on some extraordinary items, you are also helping those in need in our community.
New and gently used items can be brought to the Lacombe Community Food Bank where they will find new homes and support the community. Unfortunately, we do not pick up items.
If children are in need of clothing we are able to donate up to $25 worth of clothing.
Ghana and Uganda Mission
The Lacombe Community Food Bank has recognized the need for basic essentials in not only our own community but across the world as well. With the help of other organizations in Alberta, we are able to send donations to Africa. Some of the clothing items that don’t end up in our thrift store are donated to those in need in Ghana and Uganda. We send items to two schools in Ghana and a refugee camp in Uganda.
