Donations

What You Can Donate

Thanks to donations made by generous individuals and businesses like you, we are able to supply members of our community with meals that they may not have been able to purchase themselves. We are always accepting donations as there is always someone who can benefit from the food bank. Some items that we always seem to run short on are baking ingredients, such as flour, sugar, and baking soda and powder. Some other items that we always need include:

Non-Perishable Food

  • Beans with or without pork
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Pasta and sauce
  • Canned fish or meat
  • Peanut butter
  • Powdered milk
  • Soup
  • Canned fruit or vegetables
  • Granola bars
  • Baby food or baby formula
  • Juice boxes or other items for school lunches

Perishable Food

  • Bread
  • Pastries
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables

Non-Food Items

  • Baby diapers
  • Toiletries
  • Dish soap
  • Hygiene products

During special times of the year, we also look for donations that people might enjoy celebrating the holidays with such as boxed stuffing and cranberries sauce.

How You Can Donate

The Lacombe Community Food Bank is able to feed our community members that need a little help all because generous individuals like you have made donations to our organization. By making a donation to our food bank you can make a real impact on your community by helping those in need. There are many different ways to make a donation to the Food Bank.

1. You can make a monetary donation

Monetary donations go directly into a fund which we use to purchase food. You can make in-person donations by cash or cheque during our open hours or use the link below to make a donation by e-transfer. You can also make a donation through the College Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church.

2. You can donate food

Whether it is canned goods or fresh fruit and vegetables we are always grateful to receive food donations. Receiving food donations always makes it a little easier on our volunteers, versus having to go out and having to make purchases from grocery stores. You can drop off donations to the food bank and even take part in a food drive.

3. You can donate your time by volunteering

The Lacombe Community Food Bank is completely volunteer-driven. If it was not for our dedicated volunteers we would not be able to feed our community. As much as we appreciate the gesture, unfortunately, due to logistics we are not able to accept requests to volunteer only around holidays, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
